Please join us this Saturday afternoon for an informative history of navigation technologies throughout the ages. A very limited number of free popsicles will also be available during the event.

Mapmaking, navigating, and surveying are among the oldest human activities, so it’s no surprise that humans have come up with a dizzying array of clever skills, techniques and down and dirty hacks in order to answer that timeless question “Where the hell am I?” This talk will provide a whirlwind tour through the worlds of science, geography, and visual design, highlighting moments of cartographic brilliance.
