Chris Kallmyer will be fearlessly driving up the coast of California on major roads in a classic 1996 acura with 217,000 miles and 20 soldering irons to visit Enid Blader’s Department of Teledramatic Arts and Technology at CSU Monterey Bay.
Learn to solder in this two-hour workshop! Participants will learn to solder by building a primitive, but rad synthesizer. During the workshop Chris will play music to solder by, using the conductivity of soldering irons as musical material. As people get their synths working, they can join Chris in his texture of soldering, synthy goodness.
By the end of the workshop everyone will play a simple and inevitably out of tune musical piece together.
