Yodels of the World

We will learn all kinds of yodeling, herding calls and glottal techniques including but not limited to yodels from America, Africa, Bulgaria/ the Balkans, and Scandinavia, including Swedish kulning. We will also cover Jewel, Zap Mama and Alanis Morissette. Hold onto your lederhosen.

We will do this for approximately two hours. (Or you know, til the cows come home).
No singing or yodeling experience required!

Kate Conklin is a soprano and a leading interpreter of the highly ornamented vocal music of Bulgaria. She was the vocalist for Cirque du Soleil’s “O” for two years. Kate teaches Voice, Alexander Technique and the neurobiology of performance practice.
