12:00-1:30pm: South, Engagement with Sacred Feminine – Preaching the Good News of the Goddess

7:00-8:30pm: North, Historias Mil Hojas – Collaborative Performance/Ritual with Video and Sound

From Edgar:

“When I was asked to create a project for Echo Park, I was told by a friend to go speak with the ‘Lady of the Lake.’ Upon approaching her, I was approached myself by a tenacious duck who wanted nothing more than to stand by me as I stared at the statue located on the North Side of the Echo Park Lake. The duck sent me a message: ‘Prepare the space and trust will emerge.'”

Come listen to the ducks and the angels as Edgar moves through four distinct interactive performances. Inspired by lineages and legacies that have shaped Echo Park’s history, AngelUS explores the unseen and felt influences and histories of the park- more specifically, by the Sacred Feminine energy at the park.

This performance is made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs.
