We will explore the basics of electronic circuitry with a focus on giving the
student a solid foundation in electronic theory while creating and exploring
circuits hands-on.

Students will be encouraged to experiment while also
learning the basic workings and simple math behind electronic components.

Prerequisites:
Some soldering experience is helpful but not necessary.

Class 1
Saturday April 21, 11am - 2pm

Introduction to DC circuits, switches, resistors, resistors networks, series &
parallel circuits potentiometers, LEDs, reading schematics, test equipment &
connecting integrated circuits

Class 2
Sunday April 22, 11am - 2pm

Introduction to AC circuits, capacitors, inductors, relays, bipolar junction
transistors and diodes

Class 3
Saturday April 28, 11am - 2pm

More with semiconductors (Op-amps & FETs), Motors, Voltage Dividers,
Vibration Sensors

Class 4
Sunday April 29, 11am - 2pm

More with integrated circuits, basics of repair, and introduction to digital
logic circuits, timers & oscillators

Refund policy:
Please note, all class fees include a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $25 that will be deducted from your refund if you sign up for, then drop, a class. So, for example, if you sign up for Machine Sewing 101 and pay the $155 class fee, but then remember that you have trapeze school final exams that conflict with the Sewing class and shouldn’t have signed up after all, we will refund you $130 of your tuition payment.
