Learn to solder in this three-hour workshop led by Mark Allen at 1450 Ocean in Santa Monica. Participants will learn to solder by building a primitive (but rad) synthesizer.

As people get their synths working, we’ll add some music-making, and by the end of the workshop everyone will play a simple and inevitably out of tune musical piece together. This workshop is presented in collaboration with 1450 Ocean, an adult recreation center overlooking the ocean and run by the city of Santa Monica.

Please note: registration for this class is through 1450 Ocean, so their cancellation and refund policies apply. They also ask that you bring cash to cover the material fee, which is $20 for this class. So the total cost of this class will be split between the the materials fee ($20 to be paid in cash) and the instruction fee ($30 or $40 to be paid online). MEMBERS: To receive your member’s discount, please register by calling Jamie at 310-458-2239.
