Join Machine Project and artist Michael O’Malley for a community bread bake in Grand Park.

Michael has built a portable, wood-fired oven and will open it up to anyone who would like to bake bread in it. He’ll be baking batches of your bread at 12pm and 1pm, but there to answer any questions you have about bread-making between 11am – 2pm. If you took our Bread Baking Using Naturally Leavened Dough and Whole Grain Flour Workshop the day before, bring your dough and knowledge along!

You can find us in Olive Court, the block of Grand Park between Grand and Hill, just east of the fountain and right next to the Starbucks.

Michael O’Malley is an artist whose work engages the terms and narratives that shape the built environment. He has been an avid baker and oven builder for the past ten years. In the past couple of years he has continued his interest in baking by growing wheat and building a mobile bakery that he use for workshops and performances. He lives and work in Los Angeles and the Catskills of New York.
