OFFSITE EVENT : Machinations in the Library
Saturday, July 26th from 8:00 – 9:30pm
Join us Saturday at the Los Angeles Central Library, as Machine Project artists reimagine and respond to the Library’s space and collections. From a sound and dance improvisation inspired by a photograph of legendary choreographer Bella Lewitzky in the LAPL’s photo collection, to site-specific video installations (including one based on used books unearthed in a library book sale)—these artists will transform various areas of Central Library into an interactive multimedia playground.

UPCOMING WORKSHOP : Beginning Raspberry Pi – Getting Started with Audio and Video
Part 1 of 3, Tuesday, July 29th from 7:00 – 10:00pm
Space is still available for our three part workshop series, exploring the basics of Raspberry Pi computers. The workshop will cover getting started with Raspberry Pi computers with an emphasis on working with HD video playback, using the camera module and getting started with sound output using Pure Data. Technically inclined audio-visual artists are encouraged to attend but anyone with a general curiosity about the Raspberry Pi and Linux is welcome. Deadline to register is Tuesday, July 22nd so act fast!
