For the past several weeks we’ve been hosting secret nocturnal gatherings of poets beneath our floorboards, assembling a treasure trove of live poetry recordings.

Soon we will unveil this collection on a public sound archive, where Machine poetry fans will be able to listen to high quality recordings of poets from near and far including Rebecca Wolff, Aaron Kunin, Jibade-Khalil Huffman, Harmony Holiday, Andrew Maxwell, Douglas Kearney, Corina Copp, Cedar Sigo and many more!

This weekend we have the pleasure of hosting Cedar Sigo in Los Angeles. In celebration of the project and Cedar’s poetry and presence we’ll be having a light-of-day-recording-equipment-free reading this Sunday at Machine. Please come, hang out, and listen to Cedar’s inimitable poetry, described by Bomb magazine as “at once contemporary and antiquated, totally alien and uncannily familiar, so that they operate with a realm of uncertainty where any movement the poem makes is charged with potential.” Cedar will be joined by his fellow poets Evan Burrows, and Harmony Holiday from the Machine Poetry Archive Project. Refreshments provided.
