We at Machine don’t believe that too much of a good thing is possible, which is why we’ve front-loaded our November schedule with five different events in the next week. This Saturday November 3rd at 3:30pm(!), please join us and our friends at the Journal of Aesthetics and Protest for the launch of their Slide Archive Library. There will be a reading by writer and issue 5 contributor Sesshu Foster immediately following at 4 o’clock.
On Sunday the 4th at 8pm, you should come hear our new friend Liz Kotz give a short talk about her new book, and stay for a reading by our old friend Eileen Myles and performances by James Orsher, Michael Pisaro, Mark So and Tashi Wada.
Thursday the 8th at 8pm is our highly anticipated Op-Art Handball tournament, which you can read more about here. We still need videos!
Then, the very next night, our Underground Cinemachine opens, quickly followed the night after that by a lecture from our special guest George Kuchar.
And, if that’s not enough, the wonderful Kamau Patton show we’ve been telling you about is closing this weekend, so if you haven’t been in yet to see it, Saturday is your last chance! ..Or maybe Sunday morning, if you ask.
