Tabla workshop
TABLACENTRIC: TABLA WORKSHOP / INTERSTICE @ MACHINE PROJECT

Come to Machine Project for a day centered around the tabla, the drums of north India. Learn the language of the drums and compose soundscapes based on the Conduction process, pioneered by new music composer Lawrence D “Butch” Morris. The entire day will be contextualized by discussions on the history and contemporary role of tabla, and a traditional Gujarati lunchtime meal.
