We’re looking for 10 dancers to perform in Brody Condon’s piece Performance Modification (Nauman) at Machine Project.

10 performers outfitted in medieval/space/fantasy armor will re-create Bruce Nauman’s 1973 work “Tony Sinking into the Floor, Face Up and Face Down”. Performed in slow motion and combined with movements based on computer game death animations, this piece is accompanied by a high volume binaural beats reputed to induce out of body experiences.

rehearsal from 8pm-11pm on Thursday February 7th. (Rehearsal date/times can be flexible.) Rehearsal and performance are both happening at Machine Project, 1200D North Alvarado Street, Los Angeles, 90026.

The performance is on Saturday, Feb 9th, with check-in at 4pm, a performance for the press at 7pm and the public performance from 8pm-10pm.

We can pay a $100 honorarium to each dancer chosen.
