the Machine Project Field Guide to LACMA wants you!
On November 15th, Machine Project will unleash over fifty interventions, experiments, and installations at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. What have we gotten ourselves into? We’re not quite sure, but we will need some extra hands to help pull this one off…
We need help in the following areas
Video Documentation : We are looking for video makers with a version of the Panasonic DVX-100 24p video camera to work with Jim Fetterley of Animal Charm to help document both the day of the event and the rehearsals in the weeks leading up to the event. We’ll provide the tapes. To get AV access for the event, we’ll need to sign you up in advance – email lizglynn@machineproject.com to get involved.
Photographic Documentation : We are looking for people with digital SLR cameras and experience with art and event documentation for the day of the event, installation, and rehearsals. Please email lizglynn@machineproject.com to get involved.
Logistical Support : We are looking for people who can help in general ways during the event and in the week leading up to it. This would include helping artists from out of town in the week leading up to the show, helping with the install, trying to explain what’s going on to confused LACMA members, handing out maps, directing people to hypbolic crochet, signing people up for text alerts, defending deformed amphibian robots in progress, finding the gaffee tape, running with scissors, etc. Email lizglynn@machineproject.com if you’d like to help.
