Machine Project is looking for a paid intern this summer!

We’re being funded by the Getty Foundation’s Multicultural Undergraduate Summer Internship Grant to hire someone for ten weeks. To get even more specific, we’re looking for someone who is interested in the daily management and curatorial process of a small + feisty non-profit arts and educational organization. It also helps if you have a car.

The Getty will specifically support the hiring of an intern who meets these basic parameters:

– Must be of African-American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent.
– Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate and have completed at least one semester of college by June 2008 (doesn’t matter what your major is).
– Will not graduate before December 2008.
– Must be a resident of, or attend college in, Los Angeles County.

You also can’t have interned for us before, and if you’ve had internships through the Getty Multicultural Internship Program before, let us know – you might not be eligible to do another. Also, if you’re a relative of one of our staff or board members, we can’t hire you for this (sorry Mom).
