Kafka Christmas and Joshua Beckman reading Saturday 8pm

1) Thank you again everyone who donated and became members! We are grateful, reassured, invigorated and enthused by all the support. If you’re not yet a member, there is still time to become one here:

2) Should you find yourself at loose ends this Thursday at 4pm, why not drop in at Machine for Kafka Christmas? Poet Laureate Anthony McCann will be reading highlights from the work of Franz Kafka, for about one hour. If all goes according to plan, we’ll also have a complimentary Kafka Christmas CD available for Machine Project members. Free, but some paperwork may be involved.

3) If Joshua Beckman hasn’t yet showed up on your doorstep or read poetry to you over the phone, this Saturday December 27th 8pm he will be reading at Machine IN PERSON AND STANDING UP. View the video linked below for an approximate preview of the form and content of this event.

4) Speaking of Joshua and Poetry, there are only 6 more shopping days of hearing poems over the poetry phone. Call 213 448-7668 between 9pm and 10pm Monday – Thursday.

These programs are made possible in part by a grant from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Cultural Affairs.
