TABLACENTRIC, Robin Sukhadia’s Artist Residency at Machine Project, continues with a special film screening on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at 4pm of Satyajit Ray’s masterpiece, Pathar Panchali. The film features classical north Indian music scored by Ravi Shankar. Free admission.
“The first film by the masterly Satyajit Ray – possibly the most unembarrassed and natural of directors – is a quiet reverie about the life of an impoverished Brahman family in a Bengali village. Beautiful, sometimes funny, and full of love, it brought a new vision of India to the screen.â€

The Innermost Unifier: Today it’s the Corporate Anthem
Monday March 17, 2008
A talk/audio performance by Johannes Grenzfurthner (monochrom)
8pm
FREE
When we last saw Johannes, he and his co-cospirators from Monochrom were boiling down sixty gallons of coca cola to make a real life brick of coke, and burying people alive in our backyard. For this event, Johannes will give a theoretical and applied overview on the musical genre of corporate anthems using both historical and current examples (especially from the area of the hardware/software-industry)
Come and sing along. Powernapping is welcome, too.
