A lecture by Jason Brown and Picklefest 2008 this weekend
Join us on Friday, Sept 19th at 8pm for The Mind Diddlers, the latest evolution in Jason Brown’s ongoing lecture series. Sure to be filled with bold statements on the genetic algorithms of Jeff Bridges, the sexy origins of modern rocketry and Scientology, mythology about aliens abducting your wife and the perversion at the heart of information technology, you could think of this lecture as one link in a vast globe-encircling chain that starts in the belly of Master Control and connects you to Lee Harvey Oswald playing online chess with the Knights Templar as dreamed by a Turing machine, on its way to wrapping around the throat of David Icke, who’s being pulled, trembling, halfway to outer space like a kite-tail on the back of a flying donut.
Then on Saturday, Sept 20th from 1-4pm come to Machine equipped with jars and produce and join us for Picklefest 2008, our first ever do-it-yourself pickling extravaganza and produce swap with our friends Erik Knutzen and Kelly Coyne from http://www.homegrownevolution.com and Mark Frauenfelder from http://www.dinosaursandrobots.com/.
