A newly rebooted monthly reading and discussion group, based around books that straddle the line between the popular and scientific. Roger Penrose, Stephen Hawking, Richard Feynman – Let’s read them in depth and discuss.
About this next meeting, Group Organizer Bill Cunningham says:
“I’ve had a couple of requests for books dealing with string theory. We haven’t really dived into this yet except for Lee Smolin’s book, which was more a critique than an explanation, so I’m thinking we should pick up Brian Greene’s popular overview:
The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene
I’m working out a couple of ideas about how to organize the discussion in some fun ways, so I will post more details as they get settled.”
If you’d like to join in on the discussion this month, please RSVP via the group’s Meetup.com site, here.
