T A B L A C E N T R I C presents Indivisible: South Asian American Poetry launch featuring musical performances by FIELD: Kitundu & Sukhadia.
Machine Project and T A B L A C E N T R I C are thrilled to host the Los Angeles launch of Indivisible, the first national anthology of American poets with South Asian heritage (University of Arkansas Press 2010). The poems gathered here take us from basketball courts to Bollywood, from the Grand Canyon to sugar plantations, from Hindu-Muslim riots in India to anti-immigrant attacks on the streets of post 9/11 America. With roots in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, here are poets who are rewriting the cultural landscape of America today. Featured poets include Ro Gunetilleke, Vandana Khanna, Bhargavi Mandava, Amar Ravva and editor Pireeni Sundaralingam.
Special musical performance by FIELD: Kitundu & Sukhadia.
