The Microscore Project.
Jessica Catron and Orin Hildestad will present microscores for violin and cello in the Little William Theater. These 30 second pieces of music have been composed specifically for Jessica and her collaborator Johnny Chang who now live in Berlin. Lucky for us, Orin is here to fill Johnny’s shoes. Since its inception in 2001, the Microscore Project has commissioned and performed over 300 miniature works from artists around the world – including Pauline Oliveros, Peter Ablinger, Philip Brownlee, Chiyoko Szlavnics, Harold Budd, Nels Cline, and James Tenney. Come check out some huge music in our tiny theater.
