We’ll be away all weekend with events at the Hammer Museum on Saturday, and LACMA on Sunday. Come visit us!
First, on Saturday, November 6th from 4-7pm, join Machine and CRITTER Salon at the Hammer Museum for our Enormous Microscopic Evening. Make your own microscopes from common materials, see dancing DNA, and take home a portrait of your own cheek cell. Admission is free! More info here.
Then on Sunday, November 7th from 12-4pm, Machine will be at LACMA for the finale event of Fallen Fruit‘s EAT LACMA project. At Let Them EAT LACMA, over fifty artists will take on food as a topic for collaborations, interventions, performances and installations. Machine will be there with an electric melon soldering workshop, where you can learn to solder a contact microphone, install it in a melon, take your melon to an electric melon drum circle, then eat your melon when you’re done. Workshop is drop-in while supplies last, no advanced registration required.
All soldering materials free, but please BYO melon!
