A day long drawing workshop exploring contemporary approaches to drawing starting with observational drawing and gradually working towards experimentation and abstraction.
We will start with skills of observation and then build upon those, inventing, distorting, re imagining and collaborating to create our own ideas and images of plants. We will also work with a variety of materials, graphite pencils, colored pencils, markers and ink. This course is suitable for beginners with a sense of adventure and experienced artists wanting to get back into working with materials on paper and develop improvisational strategies to drawing.
