If you’re looking for pool-related adventures this Sunday, save yourself the $30 Hurricane Harbor tickets and cool off in Wash, a free underwater/underground sound installation performance in a gorgeous mid century modern natatorium.

Bring your bathing suit and experience the sound channeled through speakers installed both above and below the surface, as ing slowly layers sounds to the mix througout the afternoon. Or opt for a more dry, voyeuristic vantage point in the underground viewing bunker.

Kids are welcome, but there’s no shallow end, and anyone under 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

This event is part of Machine Project’s Field Guide to L.A. Architecture.
