MACHINE PROJECT PROJECT SPACE FOR PROJECTS : Rabble – Holly Myers & Mathew Timmons

Rabble is an imprint of Insert Blanc Press dedicated to the publication of innovative critical writing in pamphlet form. The evening will include readings, performances, and other occasions of rabble rousing by Myers, Timmons, Alexandra Grant, Doug Harvey, Tyler Stallings, and others. Sunday, July 13th from 1-5pm
Learn to identify local clay, and then process some of this special dirt into a workable material. The pinching and coiling techniques used by the earliest humans are still some of the best ways to shape clay, and they will be demonstrated so that each participant can make a small object by the end of the workshop. In this workshop, you will compare wild clay with commercially available clay, and talk a bit about traditional potter’s practices and pit firing techniques.
