Machine Project and the Institute for Art and Olfaction are teaming up for a two-part workshop where participants will learn how to design their own custom motion-sensor scent mechanisms – complete with custom scent! Join us Thursday, July 28th at 6:30pm at the IAO in Chinatown for a special session where we’ll learn to design and mix custom fragrances, and become familiar with the base ingredients of perfumery. Design a scent for your self, your home, your car, your cat, the possibilities are endless!
After your scent is created, we meet back at Machine Project on Saturday, July 30th from 1-4pm, for a special session designing motion sensing scent dispensers with techno-wizard Chris Weisbart. Create the special scent machine of your dreams, learn to work with Arduinos, and hone your robot-making skills!
This workshop is $85 for IAO and Machine Project members, $95 general. No prior experience necessary, open to all!
