Join us Tuesday, June 21st at 8pm for a workshop in shallow listening practice with Chris Kallmyer.
Inspired by Pauline Oliveros’ consciousness-raising Deep Listening Practice, Shallow Listening Practice is specifically designed for those interested in doing less work, quickly. In this 50 minute immersive sound experience, participants will experiment with sound making and sound receiving with household objects, and ascend to a shallow level of consciousness. There will be robes.
LA-based artist, Chris Kallmyer is a Performance Fellow at SFMOMA and is prototyping workshops for his upcoming summer exhibition titled, A Paradise Choir.
