Scared of power tools? Confused by how to use a hammer? Or just interested in how to do basic construction? Good Walls Make Good Neighbors teaches proper building techniques while conveying the surprisingly useful method for building a wall. Covering purchasing and preparing materials, assembly, hanging and floating drywall and more.
Taught by Machine Project favorite Ryan Taber no experience with construction, tools, nails, screws, drywall or hard hats needed. All materials included.
Day one: You can do this
-Optional shopping, navigating a monolith.
-Tool/material Basics: Measuring, Cutting, Screwing, Drilling, Nailing.
-The right and wrong tools for the job, and shortcuts
-Design and structural principle basics and Building Codes
Day Two: Framing/Erecting/Hanging
-Ways to actually step by step construct the frame of a wall
-Anchoring your wall to the building
-Cutting and Hanging drywall
-Installing edge bead
-Taping and muding
Day Three: Perfect Finish
-Preparing to Sand
-Sanding
